Thinking out Loud

Good morning and Happy Thursday!  Got my jam together this week to link up with Running with Spoons!   I've been MIA from the blog and email scene sine Thursday due to service outages throughout Peru.  Iquitos already has one of the worst connections in the world, so when some towers got damaged in Lima I think we were the first to lose cell service.  It kept going down consistently up until Monday, but hopefully its back for good now!

If you haven't heard, there was severe flooding, weather, and mudslides in Lima, Peru for several days last week that resulted in bridges falling, streets and highways destroyed, homes lost, animals drowned, and around 80 fatalities.  A state of emergency was declared last week.  Lima has been without water services since then, some towns have been without electricity, and a lot of the country has been impacted by the cell service and internet outages.
If you're interested in donating, the Red Cross in Peru is raising money on this site:

The rains here in Iquitos, however, are quite normal!  We are expecting to see an increase in river levels as the excess water makes its way down the water tables and across land to our river basins.  Will be interesting to see if it inundates the Amazon river or just incorporates as normal... hopefully there is no damage.

Elvis picked me up from work and it started pouring.. he insisted we go home in the rain instead of waiting it out, so he made us these trash bag ponchos

Philly is getting fatter!  Do you like his America harness? It was V's but she never wore it

I've had a cough for a long time so I went back to the doctor and they put me on a nebulizer..

V and I spent the weekend in bed mostly, I was quite sick, I burnt myself pretty badly (i'll spare you that pic), and it rained all weekend!

We got pretty bored which resulted in pictures like this... isn't she cute with her ears back !?

Elvis built a dog house for Philly! (ran out of wood for the roof)

cardboard roof for now

V and her bestie Maya playing. When we first met Maya she was 6 weeks old and teeny tiny!

Elvis' niece made Philly a sweater out of a sock!

How cute is it!?

April and I were taking selfies in the yard..
until Maya took advantage of the opportunity to steal her cupcake

How do you transport a tiny puppy on a motorcycle by yourself?

How is your week going?

Do you drive in the rain or avoid it?

Do you have a dog?
